    Koko
At Koko, everything begins with their love of fabric. The duvets, cushions, throws and curtains are a tribute to natural fibers.

The Koko Company began ten years ago. Olga Vieira, the founder, worked as a fashion designer for many years. With the simple idea of bringing the diversity of the world into homes, Koko Trends uses fabrics and designs from all over the world. Olga, along with partners Marta Blair and Nathalia Hamd are all from Columbia. Through extensive travel, Koko Trends draws design inspiration from India, Nepal and Vietnam.

Koko Trends’ accessories celebrate natural fibers—linen, cotton, raw silk and wool. The naturally sturdy weave of the fabrics is lightened by the fluidity of hand-applique, lace closures, cross-stitch embroidery and novelty buttons.

But Koko Trend’s partnership with Nest is more than the brightly-colored pillows and accessories. Nest is funding women working for Koko Trends to expand their businesses through micro-credit loans. More about the women receiving loans will be available on the buildanest.org website soon.

Olga makes sure to point out that her pillows are meant to be used. They should find their place on couches where families snuggle together. Koko Trend’s website is kokotrends.com.
